About Us

Rod Tyler was born and raised in Gainesville. In 1975 he built a building at 1928 North Grand Avenue and opened up a lock shop along with a mobile locksmith service. Rod married a local girl, Ramona Farr, in June of 1979. Ramona began working with him at the lock shop.

In the early 1990's, Rod and Ramona began purchasing rental houses and R B Enterprises was born. Rod felt real estate would be a good investment and being self employed - he needed to plan for the future.

Over the years the Tylers have bought, remodelled, rented and sold numerous locations. They seek out properties that need "tender loving care" and remodel them to a standard they would occupy themselves. Ramona loves the remodel phase--figuring out how to update the property, choosing the paint colors and floor coverings. She finds it very rewarding when the job is completed.

In 2003, Rod and Ramona purchased the vacant old Bomber Bait Lure manufactoring facility. Ramrod's Bomber, Inc. came into existence. Since then their focus has been commercial properties. They even bought and operate a carwash.

Rod retired from the locksmith profession in the spring of 2007 and became a full time landlord and property mangager. Ramona continued to oversee the remodels and do the bookkeeping for the properties. In the fall of 2007, the Tylers began updating and remodelling Bomber into several different rental suites.

Ramona loves telling the story of Rod renting their house of 20 years out from under them. She had less than a month to pack and get the house painted for the new tenants. In the next four years, the Tylers would move four times before buying another home. Rod even sold the rent house they were living in after the second move. Obviously, Rod loves buying and selling properties! He comes by it honestly. His grandpa Tyler was a horse trader.

Rod and Ramona enjoy getting to know their tenants and take pride in maintaining their properties. Please check out their available properties. Hopefully, you find a property that will fill your needs.
